Gabrielle Sulzberger, a senior managing director at Centerbridge Partners, serves on the Ford Foundation Board of Trustees. Previously, she was a Senior Advisor at Two Sigma, as well as Teneo, and a general partner and investment manager of the private equity fund Rustic Canyon/Fontis Partners LP. She also served as chief financial officer of Crown Services in California and managing partner of BE/Greenwich Street Capital in New York.

Sulzberger is a founding member of the Board Diversity Action Alliance and serves on the boards of Eli Lilly & Company, MasterCard, Cerevel Therapeutics, Warby Parker and several private companies. She also is chairman of the board of Sesame Workshop, and also holds board positions at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, and the Conference Board. She has served on the boards of Whole Foods, Bright Horizons Family Solutions, Stage Stores, Teva Pharmaceuticals, the Boston Children’s Museum, the Entrepreneurial Growth and Investment Institute, and the Boston Partnership.

A member of the Aspen Global Leadership Network, Sulzberger was a 1997 Henry Crown Fellow of the Aspen Institute. She earned a bachelor’s degree in urban studies from Princeton University, a JD from Harvard Law School, and an MBA from Harvard Business School. She is a member of the Massachusetts Bar.
