Waleed El Deeb is a program associate at Ford’s Middle East and North Africa office, where he focuses on advancing the office’s regional and global strategy development, implementation, monitoring, and evaluation. He also supports organizational decision-making and learning by leveraging data-driven insights and facilitating knowledge-sharing across programmatic teams.

Before joining Ford, Waleed worked as a senior capacity building associate at Jameel Poverty Action Lab(J-PAL) in the Middle East and North Africa, where he oversaw the planning, execution, coordination, and content development of all regional training and education activities. He also served as program coordinator and later senior specialist at The American University in Cairo’s Public Policy Hub Research Program and as a senior field officer at Catholic Relief Services in Egypt, where he focused on access to education for refugees and asylum seekers.

Waleed also volunteers as a networking and communication consultant at the Life From Water Foundation, which aims to provide sustainable solutions for water problems in Egypt and Africa. He holds a bachelor’s degree in Political Science and a Public Administration diploma in NGO management from Cairo University, and he is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Public Administration at The American University in Cairo.
