The overarching mission of the Ford Foundation is to combat inequality in all its forms. Our work in the US and globally is organized into specific areas designed to intersect and overlap in response to emerging contexts and conditions. Currently we’re considering how our various areas of programming in the US could be layered to create a more coherent strategy and ultimately be more effective. We’re interested in looking at which geographies to target and how overlapping priorities can help build a more effective social justice infrastructure.
We’re looking for a partner to undertake this body of work and help us understand how we can better align U.S. grantmaking across the foundation. Given the magnitude of the problems we work on, we are especially interested in high-leverage opportunities, where multiple efforts could focus on a set of states and build momentum at the national level.
If you are interested, or know someone who may be a good fit, please submit a proposal to conduct research and analysis to develop criteria and recommendations for identifying these potential target states.
